Well this love affair I have with all things Trans Am started when I was about 15. I had been mowing laws over summer breaks for about 2 years and saved up some Monies. Time to buy my First!! Car. Got the local paper and looked at all the cheap stuff, I remeber looking at an Opel * shutter * . Looked at a Toyota PU 4x4. and ....
Looked at a Pontiac Firebird Formula 350.
What is a firebird???? I had no clue, it looked nice thou. The twin snorkles on the hood were interesting. So ok ill buy it.
Took him home and that began a 20+ year affair with all things Firebird.
The movie Smokey and the Bandit also reeled me in. Im sititng there watching this movie and by then the Formula had been totaled and I now had a Red 1978 Trans Am TTop, and it clicked ... I had the same Car as Burt did ( well almost Mine is red his is Black and Gold SE.. but hey im still a Kid )
Heh , After that it went all down hill so to say. Got my Die casts, Got my Models, my Posters My Match box cars, if it is firebird related I probaly have it, if it is Trans Am related I have it.

And so now that Pontiac is Gone and no more new Firebirds comming out I have to hold onto what I have, there wil lbe no more!
