About me and my passion for cars

I grew up around cars, my dad was a dirt track nut he raced just about my whole life.Him and my uncle Charlie worked on and restored old cars.As a young boy i can remember talking to my dad about building my first car. I wanted a old 50s model Chevy truck,but as i got older the muscle cars were getting my attention. So that's where the 68 Belvedere came in.
My dad was such a influence in my life, he taught me so much about cars and life. My wife whom i have loved for 32 years is so understanding about my hobby, she supports me just as my dad did when he was with us on this earth.
Cars are and always will be a big part of my life.It is the most wonderful feeling to take a old rusty car or truck and make it as good as or even better than new. And then to get to drive them and show them off is a blast.
By the way i got my 50s model Chevy truck 20 years ago and my dad did get to help me with it as did the entire family.I also own a1956 pro street truck ( in progress) and i am building my wife a 1947 3100 Chevy 5 window, Dad had a 65 mustang he wouldn't let me drive, he said it was to fast and he didn't want me to get hurt, Imagine the look on his face the day i brought mine home. He had a grin on his face a mile wide, Yes he was around long enough to help me get it on the road, he passed a few weeks after we set the engine in.Oh yea one more tidbit, My wife and i gave my son the 49 pickup a few years ago but it is still housed in our garage because my son is in the army and he don't have a place to keep it but does drive it when him and his wife, my lovely daughter in law comes to town.So he will be the next in my family to carry the flame.

Car I wish I still had

1968 Plymouth Belvadier me and my dad built it together. Had a 340 six pack engine that dad had run on the race track in a duster. it had a fireball crane cam and a 4 speed and rear 410 gears.It was my first fast car.
