About me and my passion for cars
I started my restoration project in oct 99. Took 6 & 1/2 years. During project I had 5-way bypass & cornea transplant. First time out after completion we took a 1st place trophy @ the Hampton Roads Li'l Red Express & Warlock Owners show in June of 06.
I've been playing with automobiles since childhood. I became blind in 1992. This presented a strong challenge, but we succeeded in adapting & overcoming this obstacle.

June of 07 we took "Best in Show " at the Lil Red Express Nationals in Grafton Virgina. WOW!!!!
My first car
1956 Plymouth Savoy
318 Wide Block 4-barrel witth 3 speed column shift
This car my dad drove to his senior prom. It was a hand-me-down from his old brother who bought in new.
Car I wish I still had
1970 Dodge Charger 383 magnum Black interior, copper exterior.
Rebuilt the motor in the back yard on a pallet & a sheet of plywood. Car was strong.
Traded it for a mobile home to live in.
My dream car
My 1978 Dodge Li'l Red Express. This truck was new when i was 17 years old. Wanted one then but didn't have $8000.00 . Had to build one to get it.

- Funny enough, I had never heard of the "little red express" until I went to my first Nats after I got the Charger long ago. They were all over the place at the track. I fell in love with them instantly. Nice ride, take care of her.
