since I got the car, I've noticed ants climbing on the dash... had been driving me nuts until this morning...

I decided to do something about it... Found a ridiculously huge ant colony under the drivers side of the back seat... got rid of em... and now I guess I'll start working on the interior... I dont like the brown... Time to change it to black!!!!

the future.... rear valance panel... dyed black and re-upholstered... pretty!!! (hopefully have it re-installed Saturday)

new pictures...

I've acquired a 1972 Buick Riviera, traded the Grand Prix for it!!! I cant tell you how happy I am!!!

More to come...

By Boat_Tail_Guy_StL

Well, the front-end is finally mocked up... the short block is assembled, parts are in (they have arrived) for the "882" cyl heads that are going on the 1974 350 4-bolt S.B.C. all new valves, springs, keepers... everything... short block is totally assembled... intake manifold...

Purchased a 1993 Chevy 1 ton Pick-up that I'm thinking of robbing for its complete fuel injection set-up for use on the 350 at some point, the trans is bad in the truck (no reverse) and the brakes are shot, the body is rotted out and the rear end makes noise... Gave 150.00 for the complete truck and drove it home... I'm thinking its gonna make a great donor for the 350... now I just have to figure out what to do with the carcass when im done with it...

more info to come as soon as i get it... but tonight is gonna be a long one.. I dont plan on going to bed till the heads are completely assembled and bolted on... maybe tomorrow I can set the motor and trans in and maybe start it??? I dont know... but I'm definately going to give it the old college try...

18,000 miles now...

and I'm more in love with my honda than ever... 40 mpg on the highway... comfort... dependability... what more could you ask for from a daily driver????

Well, She's sold, luckily to a guy who is going to give her exactly what she deserves... a complete frame off restoration... I'm happy that the car has a future... I'm sad that its not with me...

new photo's

new pix from the past.....

a "new" frame for the '83

By Boat_Tail_Guy_StL

well, it looks like this project is going to transform itself into a full blown frame off resto-mod. My oldest son has lent his hands and under my guidance, we will fully re-build this car from the ground up... the 86 has donated its frame and i plan to smooth it and clean it up and paint it completely.... install all new components (where needed) and install the drivetrain while everything is apart... I've never taken a car to this level, and figure its the best way to go... I hope to have one of the cleanest 83's out there...

we'll see how it goes...

and much of it depends onthe sale of the W-30... at least how fast this goes depends onthe sale of the w-30

we'll see...

I'll keep you posted..

no longer owned

By Boat_Tail_Guy_StL

well, today she was sent to Cutlass heaven.... body pulled off the frame, chopped up small enough to fit on the back of a trailer and hauled away... which actually begins a new phase of its life... Now, the frame will be completely blasted, welds smoothed and assembled from the ground up... so that the '83 will have a nice clean place to lay her body...and the 350 chevy 4 bolt main (form a 1974 Corvette) will have an nice home to sit in... Getting a 2004r overdrive trans to go along with the 8.5 in set up dropped into a 7.5 inch housing with 3.40 (?) gears... it should be a nice runner....

the 86 was goos to me, but time, money and St Louis county 9and their issues wiuth guys trying to build a car at his home) have made it nessacary (sp?) to get rid of one the g-bodies...
