About me and my passion for cars

I have always loved the classics, cars with eight cylinders and body lines that just won't quit! My parents always drove old cars, "mainly cause we didn't have money for new ones!" but I have found memories of going to church in our three-on-the-tree '62 Ford pickup with a 292 and my Dad's '67 Wildcat with a 430ci. that he courted my Mom in and later went on their honeymoon in. My dad also had a pair of 68 Mustangs that I can barely remember that he sold both of to some guy who was very lucky. So as the years went I just kept drooling over the classics and in my teen years I went through an import stage, thanks to the Fast and the Furious. "Although the Charger stole my heart, who can resist a wheel-standing machine?" and though I still like and respect them I just can't help but feel, deep down inside, that they are missing four cylinders!!! "But don't tell anyone I said so!"

Car I wish I still had

My parents 1970 Ford Galaxie 500 with a 390 in it. The body went the way of the bone yard before I was of age to drive. But the engine and transmission are in the garage waiting for a home!

My dream car

Hmmm, that's tough. I'll probably go with a 32 Ford 5 window, but I really want a Torino to.
