Well pretty much got the engine compartment done, just waiting on the new alternator (100 amp Chrome) and gotta pick up a new coolant overflow bottle. The old one sprung a leak! I have moved on to the interior upgrade and the rear-end upgrade. Also put smaller tires on front to stop some of the rubbing of the fenderwells.

Well got the engine compartment painted using Eastwoods underhood paint. Very good color, similar to a Satin Black, however the durability leaves something to be desired. At $10 a can and using 2 cans to do a relatively small engine compartment covering it with 2 coats, I could scratch thru it with my fingernail
Next update: Got the engine back in with the new mounts fabricated by my friend Eric in West Virginia.Sells these at a very reasonable price. I'll list his contact info on my main page. Also got the radiator in using info from the H-body.org forum, V8astregt supplied most of the info for that. You can't beat the knowledge and input from 500+ members! Also installed my big block transmission crossmember, this thing is rock solid!

I thought it was time to clean up under the hood. I pulled the engine gave it a new set of rings and bearings along with a fresh coat of paint. My heater core has been leaking for a long time and I very rarely use a heater (the engine along with the exhaust right under the floorboard keeps it hot enough)so I removed the heater all together. Sure made for alot more room in the small compartment. Also repaired a bad battery area. I will update more later!
