Billy Idol got me BUSTED!!

By JS2TZU

Coming home from work today minding my own business I turn on the 80s station in my dually, at this point I just hit the 50mph speed zone. Billy Idols "ROCK THE CRADLE OF LOVE"
is next the DJ states over the radio, I say to my self "self I LOVE that song" I havent heard that song in ages! Song comes on I crank the knob as high as it can go and start jamming!! I was totally into it! Rocking my head singing along just enjoying evry bit of it! I was having a friggen BLAST!! took me back to a younger time!

Well when I was "enjoying memories of the past" I didnt realize I was blasting thru the 50mph zone doing 87mph! I didnt even realize the cop that was behind me was playing catch up!!

As I was just hammering thru this straight away I see 2 cops coming towards me from the other direction lights on sirens blaring, I start slowing down (at this point I realize how fast I was going) As I pass these 2 cops I look into my rear view mirror to see where ther going I see the cop that was behind me, the other 2 stop and turn around. CRAP! there coming after me. So I slow down and pull over.

My brother is one of the cops I can see him talking to the other 2 shaking his head and laughing. The original cop that was chasing me comes over to the window ask for my paper work I give it to him and he ask me what kinda excuse i have for going 30+ mph over the speed limit?

I look him straight in the face and tell Him "Billy made me do it!" He looks into my truck see no one there and asks me if I had been drinking!!:lmao: (If ya know me you would know that I NEVER drink alcohol, its been years since i did)

He asks me to exit my vehicle, my brother and the other cop come over I "explain" that I got carried away because of the song and didnt realize that I was driving on another level.

I tell them that its no excuse and I was totally at fault for my actions I take full responsabilty for my actions.

My brother tell them thats how I am and to let me go with a warning,(my brother knows my wife would KILL me If I got a speeding ticket)
The one that was behind me was really reluctant but he gave in and didint give me the ticket.

As I thank them for letting me go I jump back into my dually start my truck and what comes on the radio? Bon Jovi's "WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE"

O oh here we go again!

Look what was stuck in my Tire!!

By JS2TZU

Dont you hate it when your driving around and theres that annoying "tack tack tack" sound coming from your tire. you know its a little stone trapped in the tread and if your anything like me your to lazy to stop on the side of the road to get it out so you keep driving , hoping itll come out by itself but it doesnt, so when i got home to my surprise THIS was stuck between my dually tires!!

Hahaha! Just kidding! This tracker belonged to my neighbor. a few month ago the thermostat gave out and when he was changing it out he broke a bolt. he tried to drill it out but he made it worser.

So the other day I asked him what he was gonna do with it, he said if I wanted it I could take it

So I did I drilled out the bolt re threaded the hole and was done in 10 minutes. I wasnt gonna keep it I figured Id help him out cause hes an older dude fix it and give it back to him.

The Tracker needed a facelift, it was a little faded and the wheels were surfaced rust so I buffed out the paint and painted the wheels I undercoated the wheel wells just to spiff it out. I gutted the interior and pressure washed the seats and carpet. that little suv came a long way.

Well today I tried to give it back to him. He was amazed at the outcome (i should have taken a few b4 pics) but he REFUSED to take it back! He said that I put way to much work into it and he couldnt take it back!

I tried telling him that its what I enjoy doing and I never intended to keep it. It was a great feeling rushing home in the afternoon to tinker on it, but he refused taking it back so now im stuck with it! :lmao:

I didnt want to take no for an answer and we agreed upon my services for his CTS ill detail it for him and change the fluids when they need to be.

With all the work Ive been doing these past few months coming home exhasuted and disgusted trying to stay on top of evrything and having no time at all to do any of my own projects, ( i got a few bolt ons for my dually and Ive had the lift for big teaze for 2 years now) It was a great feeling coming home and doing something that I enjoyed for someone else who appreciated it, I only regret that he doesnt want it back cuase im gonna be stuck with it for a while, I couldnt sell it cause he gave it to me and my wife is allready having kittens cause this is gonna make vehicle #5.

I hope that she will use it cause its way to small for me and ill feel clostraphobic in it! :lmao:

How deep is it for you?

By JS2TZU

As I sit at my computer, (the same evrynight) my wife asks me "whatcha doin?" My reply is the same as usual "looking at cars, what else?" She turns to my daughter and say " what ever you do dont marry a car guy!" I got really offended! And asked her "why not?" her reply to my was "because its all you ever do!" Shes right thou.

Which got me to thinking her comment was that far off, I mean im sitting here and I have 5 windows open. This site, 2 other sites looking for my Kodiak, another site looking for parts for my Dually, and another site trying to figure out what color im finally gonna paint Big Teaze. My bathroom is littered with car and truck mags, my wife doesnt want me meeting the archtiect designing our new home cause all im ever worried about is the garage.

Which makes me realize the passion I have for automobiles runs really deep. Im totally fascinated by them Ive always been, my Dad was an old school hot rodder back in the day and he influenced me without even trying. Its no secret to anyone here that Im into Chevys (thanks Dad!) But I can respect and enjoy all makes and models some more then others but there is a respect that I have for all of them.

I can go anywhere in this country (Ive never left so I cant compare) and not know anyone let them pull up in a cool car and we both can strike up a conversation and we can talk for hours like we knew each other for years, just based on a vehicle. Ive made lots of friends simply based on this obsession, and I know for some of you its way more then just a passion its an obsession.

For me it started at a very young age. As far back as I can remember my Dad was always in the garage fixing, tuning or polishing something. His obsession was a black blown 64 GTO, he loved that car. He rarely ever drove it and I only got to ride in it once, (but it was one hell of a ride!) His passion was Chevelles and Novas. He went thru a lot of them, The Chevelles were always 2 toned, white roof blue bodies and the Novas were always blue. ( to this day ive never figured out why he would paint them that way)

As for me I went to high school in the late 80s when the mini truck fad started to kick in and I went that route instead of getting involved with muscle cars. I had a 74 Datsun bullet side, complete with the cookie cutter steam roller wheels tilt bed and speakers as far as the eye could see. I though I was cool and all until I picked up a truck magazine and the late Boyd Coddington had an article on a 89 fullsize chevy lowered on billet wheels. ( I still have that magazine) MAN I needed a truck like that. my Dad convinced me that if I was gonna do it Id be better of getting a black 454SS. He was right .He helped me find one and co signed a loan for me. My Dad was greatly impressed with my muscle truck. Its the first and only truck that I ever got to work on with my Dad. ( he died of cancer latter that year) I loved that truck, it had way more meaning then anyone could ever know. I was forced to sell it thou, that 454 loved dropping by gas stations, and those $129. a month truck payments were killing me.

Over the years Ive built quite a few vehicles, lowered, lifted import, domestic, but I always go back to the Chevy Trucks. Ive gone thru quite a few of them over the years, and to be honest it doesnt look like im gonna stop.

My daughter was my chief mechanic in the build up of Migraine, she was with me thru the entire build of that truck. Passing me wrenches helping me sand bodywork, grabbing me a mountain dew when i needed it. So I guess thats why I got really offended by my wifes comment.

My wife in no way shape or form is into cars, shes happy with point A to point B. I keep trying to tell her its how you get there not the journey thats important. She though id grow out of it.She doesnt understand the importance it plays in my life.

So HOW DEEP IS IT FOR YOU?

P.S. Im not worried about my daughter marrying a car guy im more worried about the dude marrying a car chick. because she is allready there! and I am PROUD to say ive influenced her automotive future in whatever way she choses to burn rubber in!

How fast are you!?

By JS2TZU

Some of you may allready know that Im for all things Chevy. Im looking into buying a bigger truck then my Dually and figured id look into buying a Converted Chevy Kodiak 4500. The Kodiaks only come in cab chassis format you can pick the beds that you want.(dump box, flatbed etc....) Or you have to have it converted with a stretched dually bed. (which is what i want.) and came across this INSANE 12000# medium duty work truck that does mid 9s, I wouldnt have believed it if i didnt see it with my own eyes!!

ALL I CAN SAY IS IM SO GETTING ONE AS SOON AS FRIGGEN POSSIBLE!!

CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG!!

By JS2TZU

What I dont understand is why anyone would ever get upset of losing a GAME where the outcome is nothing more then a fart in a bucket! I mean is it really that important to win?

Im sick and tired of the prvate messages calling me a coward or a thug because of challenges, (none of these people would ever say this to my face in real life cause id break there arses!) because of the group i belong to. AND TO BE PERFECTLY HONEST NO OTHER GROUP FROM THE DAY I STARTED HERE HAS EVER ASKED ME TO JOIN THEM. So i stay with the peeps i know. The ones who invited me here in the first place.

And all this bull about how in real life or on the streets id get my azz handed to me. What are we in the 6th grade? COME ON!! My truck has been in three national magazines can any of you say that?! Sure I sold it and it was my pride and joy but it was time to move on, I allready started another project thats gonna be better IMO.

You dont hafta like what i have i dont hafta like what you have and believe me theres a lot of vehicles on here that i dont give a second look to but i dont go bashing it. Just keep your rude comments to yourselves.

I all together stopped challenges because of the way that most members react with no class or respect, If my dually beats a sports car then good 4 my dually, WHO CARES! I put way more time and energy into all of my vehices then some of you do and Im not saying that to try and be an azz about its just the truth.

I keep coming to this site cause of the friends that ive made here but the bull s*** has gotten so bad that im just feed up and wanna pull the plug.

but ........ im an up and up kinda guy so...........................
KNOW THIS TO BE TRUE WHEN I VOTE ON CHALLENGES I WILL POST HONESTLY AND TRUTHFUL AND I WILL SAY WHY I VOTED AND WHY THE OTHE VEHICLE DIDNT GET MY VOTE AND IM JUST GONNA SAY THIS ONCE
