My first car
My first car was a 1976 Chevy monza Hatchback. I built it with a 307 bored .030 over with 12.0 - 1 compression, a tunnel ram with two 660 CFM carbs, cast iron ported and polished heads, Proform Roller Rockers, stock rods with polished beams, and a forged steel crankshaft. The ignition was a Mallory dual point distributor with an Accel Super Coil. I used Hooker Super Comp headers with Thrush turbo mufflers. The trans was a Turbo 350 with a B&M 3200 stall convertor and shift kit. The rearend was stock 7.5 with 3.08 gears and 13" 60 series street tires on polished slot mags. The car was black with a gray hood and a snorkel hood scoop. It ran high 12's in the 1/4 mile but I mainly street raced it at the time. It was undefeated for @ 6 month's until I spun a bearing. It then went to a 355 chevy motor with a little less compression, no tunnel ram, and used 2.02 double hump heads and it ran a best of 12.96 in the 1/4 mile.
Car I wish I still had
My 1978 Chevy Monza Hatchback. This car was fast and I raced it both on the track and teh street. It had a best E.T. of 9.83 in the 1/4 mile at Bandemere Speedway in Denver, CO.
My dream car
Finishing my all Chrome Moly tubed chassis Monza Hatchback Super Gas car to a Pro Mod car or Pro Stock type chassis car. I would like to have a Nitromethane blown 468 stroker SB Chevy motor. I would use a 2 speed Powerglide and 4.11 gears. Of course use the proper stall convertor (custom built) and change my ladder bar set up to a four link via Jerry Bickle Race Cars. Then paint it all 2007 Mitsubishi Pearl Burnt Orange with some killer graphics.

- Q: Neighbor kid is building a 75 Monza 2+2 Spyder hatchback. 350, vortec head w/ carb.
need to do a 4 lug to 5 lug disc conversion on the front. is there a hub & rotor to swap w/?
He has a s-10 rear end & need to swap to disc too.
What master cylinder? Proportioning valve?
