Pulled the A/C Compressor

By PRECISIONDRIVER

Got sick of looking at the broken R-4 Compressor in the Camaro, so I pulled it out. I cleaned up the power steering pump and the front of the head, then painted it. I'm working toward a new Delphi compressor (OEM). Looking forward to cool Air Conditioning next summer! I smoothed all the casting burrs off the brackets and stripped away the dead paint. Should look nice when they are holding a new compressor!

Redesigned the back seat area

By PRECISIONDRIVER

Been customizing again. I shed 100lbs from the black car by eliminating the speaker boxes, jack, spare and back seat. I created my homage to Back to the Future with diamondplate and my redesigned flux capacitor display. The capacitor is now housed in an authentic metal juncture box just like the movie prop. The analog instrument to the left measures voltage from the solar array and the plasma light on the right illuminates the sound-activated bar graph display. I also created a plywood shelf in the rear well for my subwoofers, eliminating the heavy boxes by installing the midrange and tweeters into the side panels of the car.

Vega gets Weber 32/36 Carb

By PRECISIONDRIVER

Tired of the so-so performance of the factory Holley/Weber 5210 carb, I yanked it in favor of a fresh WEBER. It purrs like a Ferrari now and the throttle is crisp and responsive. The secondary works great too! Waiting to see how the gas mileage will be.
