SOLD !! Listed this car on Craigslist in Atlanta at 3:42 Wednesday afternoon and it was sold by 5:12 pm. Dang I must a sold it tooooo cheap. :sad: It is a 2002 TT Convertible with only 54,400 miles and has every option available in '02 except all wheel drive. This car sold for over $40,000 new. I'm asking $12k for it so I can buy another toy. Wife won't allow me to have another toy unless I sell one.

This car is like new! Check it out!!

Guys, be careful !!! This lady was passing on a 2 lane going over the crest of a hill and hit the man and his son head-on!

Hard to understand why anyone would pass in a no passing zone.

When I first joined Motortopia a couple of years ago, I was having one of those days when you miss a loved one that has gone on to be with the Lord...in this case, my dad, whose initials were JWF. So, I used my dad's initials from that point on to remember him and honor him, etc. Well, my dad was the type that he didn't want you moping around for very long, so it is time I moved on and changed my Motortopia name. He was a WWII veteran, served in the USN - CB's in the Pacific. I had the opportunity to take him back to Port Huneme, CA to visit the CB Museum there. What a trip!!!! He and mom were married for 58 years!

Anyway... from now on... JWF is now SHAKER. And Shaker will serve as my CB handle as well.

While in FL on business, I took the time to go by the Jupiter Beach Resort and snap some photos. We will stay at this 4 Star Resort while on the Bandit Run in May! This is a nice place and right on the beach which is rare in the Jupiter area.
With all the cold weather scattered around the country, I am ready to go on the run NOW!

Saw this car last week near home. Nice looking ride with original Turbo, 115,000 miles, 3rd owner, documentation, asking $8,600 on the windshield. Good car for someone with very little to do appearance wise. Nice!

Yep, as time goes by the more excited us Bandit Runners get about the upcoming Beach Run in May! Wow! I am ready to go now given the cold we have endured these past few weeks.

If you have never been, it is indescribable! Just ask solargold, sweet77, or Donnymhayes whose first trip was last year. Or ask PonchoFreek whose first full run was last year!

I was beginning to wonder if I would get the BLUE in the shop to find the nagging oil leak before the Bandit Run. Well, it's in the shop and good news... not the rear seal (didn't think it was), not the rear oil pan gasket! The doggone oil filter bracket AGAIN. We have had trouble with this engine and THAT DARN BRACKET! But we think we have it fixed this time. Tomorrow will tell when we take 'er out on GA 400 and let 'er rip!

On a recent business trip to GM's Headquarters in Detroit, I snapped this photo on my cell phone of the musclecars in the lower lobby of the Rencen Center! Notice the vette, GTO, Buick, Biscayne, and the Riviera, etc. Man o Man what some jewels out of the GM stash. Anyone that hasn't visited Detroit and the Ford, Chrysler, GM museums are in for a treat if you are ever able to go there!

We had the chance (and good weather) to drive the two TAs down to see the family over Thanksgiving! Except for a small oil leak, the cars fared very well over the 500 mile round trip.
We had a blast and gotta lot of thumbs up along the way!

After traveling almost the entire month of November 2008 with only one weekend to enjoy (and spent it at the STARS event in Florida), my wife really surprised me upon my arrival home from the airport with an installed Bird on my restored '78 TA. Those of you who reviewed the photos on the Blue on my garage may remember that I didn't have a Bird on the Hood yet. Well, my wife had it done as a Birthday present! Take a Look>>>

The only tank of fuel I can recall checking was the one where the Group was allowed to run Bristol Motor Speedway. The Little Red TA got 15.78 mpg but included 20-25 laps around Bristol. I figured without Bristol, I must have gotten close to 20 MPG! That is pretty awesome considering it is still a 3 speed Auto (no overdrive) and 30 years old!

I own my first new car - a 78 Martinique Blue, WS6 TA. See comments under garage photos. It took me over 20 years to convince the 2nd owner to sell this car back to me after I traded it in 1981. When I finally did get the car in my possession, it was in bad shape mechanically and needed painting, interior, the whole works. 7 years later and I am almost done!
