As I was leaving a crew was bringing in a bulldozer. I asked what was up and they said they were going to be bringing in dirt to build up the banks. Nothing like being a week late for something like this. But typical. I found out later that they are erecting a dike - in front of the property! The river is out back! They're blockading not only the shop, but 2 houses and the Garden Center between the river and the dike! I sure hope the water doesn't get as deep. I'll be watching it every day to see what happens. I mentioned that to Caela and she looked at me with a puzzled expression and asked me "Why?" She knows that doesn't make sense and she's only 10.
