Jan 23, 2009 at 9:37 pm: We or rather my brother inlaw had one of these in the late 70s early 80s and we changed a lot of tires with it. They actually works really well just need a littlle elbow grease to go with them. Did the big long bar thingy (technical term) come with it too? Looks much sturdier than the HF one that's for sure!

Jan 23, 2009 at 8:17 pm: Cool piece of equipment. Reminds me of the older tire changer some very good friends had in their shop. This family owned a salvage yard which was located behind their house. I carried quite a lot of '57 Chevy parts out of their yard years ago.
I got to be such good friends with the family they would allow me in the yard even when they weren't home.
Then EPA went in there about 1986 and made them scrape most of the Tri-5 Chevies they had.
