My dad was a mechanic, and I was always the one to work (wax/wash) the cars in the family. When I turned 15, I bought my
first car, a 1970 Ford Fairlane 500. It had a 351 powerhouse with a shaker hood scoop, automatic transmission, a/c, and split bench seats. Just what I needed to start high school with! No one had a car like it, and all my friends loved it. Here I am decades later with another rare car to fix up. I wish it had a bigger engine though, the 290 just doesn't seem to be enough horse for me. If I had an option, I would put a 426 Hemi motor in the Amby, and a Challenger hood. A man can dream...
