I am restoring a 1973 Yamaha RD 250 and need help with the hoses that come off the carburator. I know the ones that recieve the fuel from the tank and the one hose that connects the carburator together (on the inside on each carburator facing each other). But on each carburator there is a port about mid way of the throttle body and another from the bowl at the bottom, i don't know where they go....HELP PLEASE. Once i figure this out i can start it!!!!

Hey Bill,
I hope you figured these out already, but I believe those were drain tubes, for excess gases and such to exit the carbs. My hoses run under the carbs and out the back of the bike.
I do have a question about those tubes though. I also am working on restoring my 1973 Yamaha RD 250, and I recently put a carb repair kit in it to get it running nice. The only problem is, since I did this, any gas that goes into the carbs just run straight out one of these tubes...
Is it possible I did something wrong when I put the repair kit in it, or maybe there is something I didn't know about adjusting these carbs?
Anyone ever run into this problem? -
