i bought this Benelli from a guy who lost interest in it and left it in his garage for a number of years looking sorry for itself and steadily begining to deterioate. after a light restoation ( many hours of stripping, cleaning, re-polishing and some bits of paintwork) and a thorough mechanical checkover including...new engine oil/filter, points cleaned and set, ignition timing checked, tappets checked and reset, plugs replaced, carbs removed cleaned and rebuilt, petrol tank cleaned out and tap filters cleaned, and a new battery fitted, plus a recond. startermotor she fired up second press of the button and has started first time and ran great ever since with a smooth even tickover. i have tried to keep the bike in standard spec with the exception of a pair of replacement rear shocks. this is a very rare bike on British roads and gets a lot of attention wherever i stop. although not in concourse condition it is very very clean, tidy and useable.
