1990 Harley-Davidson FatBoy (Death Ride)
Last updated Mar 11, 2007
Okay here is the story. I purchased this bike from a guy in New Hampshire. The bike ran okay but needed work. I rode it the whole summer of 06 and took it to the Harley Drags in Bowling Green Kentucky. I will post pictures of it before I start the major surgery. Starting next week I will be tearing the bike down and starting from scratch. The motor will be going over to the machine shop and being rebuilt with a little more power, as well as a little powder coating. The frame, and swing arm will also be getting powder coated. I will be widening the rear-end to a 180 setup and fitting the rear fender to the tire. Hopefully I can afford the open primary with belt drive. The tank will be replaced with a one peace smooth down tank. When I purchased the bike it already had the dina wide glide front end and the 20" rim. This will be going back on the bike. I will have to hunt down the matching rear wheel to fit a 180 setup but that shouldn’t be too hard. I think my favorite modification that I will be doing to this bike is the suspension. I will be installing a full air-ride suspension that will be controlled remotely. I think on paint I will be going all black with Harley skulls along the bottom of the body lines. It will be a project but I am hoping to have it out before summer is up. Just have to get all of the money together. Watch for new post as the project goes on.
