The top end was just redone at 55,000 all the brake and throttle cables replaced at same time with the top end, rear brakes redone with new caliper and rotor at 58,000. plenty more work done over the time I've had it as you can see by the pictures. If you ever wanted a Bagger this bike is a great one to start with, the Heritage Softail never had hard bags and I have only seen one other with hard bags and that was on E-Bay. So if you want to stand out in a crowd this is the bike to have, I have people complement me all the time. For more pics just look at the album. Well lets see........about five and a half years ago I went back to my first love, I bought a Harley Davidson Sportster it was my first bike in about 25 years, since I was a single father with responsibilities so I took the time off from riding to raise my beautiful daughters. I bought it knowing I would out grow it and get a bigger one in a year or two. I had ridden most of my life but put the toys away before my 2nd daughter was born. Well it happened I bought a '96 HD Softail Nostalgia (FLSTN), Harley-Davidson produced this model in limited numbers from 1993-1996 and then brought it back in 2005 as the Deluxe. The FLSTN was only available in one color combination for each year. (A different color combo representing each year). My '96 is one of 3,831 Heritage Softail Nostalgia's produced that year, the colors chosen for 1996 are Platinum Silver & Mystique Green. The '93 FLSTN was the most limited in production (2700 and numbered) the rest of the years were not numbered and the 93 is often referred to as the 'Moo-Glide'. The '93 Moo-Glides were white pearl/ Black with spotted cow-hair trim in place of the black leather trim on other years. I've had this particular bike since May of 06. I found it on E-Bay and bought it from a guy in Haynesville, Louisiana that wanted to sell it to buy a camper so he would be able to spend more time with his family(Wife laid a guilt trip him) and have been adding to it ever since I brought it home.

Davidson and Louie Netz blended the styling of the Heritage Classic with the Fat Boy and the Softail Custom and they also gave it a few new parts of it's own. Starting with the Heritage Classic they added the Fat Boys Shot Gun Exhaust, but replaced the straight mufflers with fishtails. The leather seat had a grey insert added in the middle of the drivers and passengers seat along with the backrest. They also used the small style saddle bags from the fat boy with a grey insert added to the flap. Wide FLH Bars were also added, A special raised metal tank emblem was created just for the Nostalgia in chrome and fired green enamel and custom leather tank dash trim was also added. From the Softail Custom came the 5.2 gallon Fat Bob Tanks, and large white walls were added to complement the entire package.
Some of the modifications to this bike include Cross Over Fishtail Exhaust that were stretched to go past the hard bags, New 2005 Ultra Classic Hard Bags, New seat with Gel Pads in both rider and Passenger, Chrome Upper Controls, Chrome Front Sliders, Rear Floorboards, New Taller Windshield, Luggage Rack, Chrome Inner Primary, Rear Light Bar, Chrome Crash Guard, Chrome Lower Beltguard, Chrome Billet Shifters and Brake, Chrome Lifter Blocks, and Live To Ride Emblems around the bike and 14 Kuryakyn Lizard Lights
