well in the last few weeks it feels like my poor monte is falling apart on me. but things are starting to look up.

first off i've lost my overdrive gear, and its starting to slip in just drive as well. i got a cousin hunting around for a low mileage or rebuilt tranny for me. (i hope he finds me an HD)

second is i've got a really bad lifter noise. it's to the point where my car will misfire under power. so i'm babying my car everywhere i go. i got a set of lifters (all 12) for 10 bucks a piece on their way from Kelowna BC. A guy at work had a connection up there.

i hate unexpected expenses BUT at least when i'm done i'll know my drivetrain should be good for another 100000km.

The thing that sucks is i won't have the money to put in my eibach springs and kyb struts until these repairs are done. but at least i have the parts :D

Well i've found what looks to be the most amazing car enthusiast site on the web. And to think cardomain was good this blows it outta the water (k i'm done plugging the site now)

Well news for my monte is the pair of flowmaster super 44's i've always wanted are on order. hopefully i will have them by the end of the month. i have my eibach springs and kyb struts waiting in my basement to be installed. just need the right saturday at work when we're not busy to throw it up on the hoist and git r dun.

News for the Phoenix is we're waiting for the gravel left over from winter sanding to be cleaned off the roads before taking her out from under the car cover. We have a 10 bolt posi waiting to be put in as well. Can't wait to take her down to the strip.

weather looks good this week so i plan on taking my monte down to race city here in calgary to get a baseline 1/4 mile time before i start going through with my dreams of turbo'ing and modding the car for speed.
