A week and a half ago I was driving the CJ5. I was headed home and it was dark. From my right a deer ran out and I was all over the brakes. Unfortunatly the Jeep has 4 wheel drum brakes so stopping takes a while. The lift doesn't help either. So long story short I could not stop and ended up hitting him. I ran him over actually. He hit my front bumper and got knocked down. It didn't kill him (guess I slowed down some) but broke him up badly. I backed up and found him int the ditch. I hate to see them suffering so I put him down. I realy hated to do it but he would have had a far worse fate to lay there and suffer.

Anyway the Jeep is pretty much just like it was before I hit him. The WARN bumper took the impact. Those things are tough. This was the first deer I've ever hit. I'm just glad I wasn't out in the GTO. Of course with anything else I could have probably gotten stopped.
