Rich Lenharts 1999 9 second Vette

99' vette is an 2001 LS6 Block, stroked to a 383, all Lunati Bottom End. The Cylinder Heads are AFR 225. The Camshaft grind is our design spec, and is not available for publishing. The ProCharger compressor is an F1R, making 19 lbs boost. The SuperCharger is driven by my custom 12 rib belt design, which eliminates belt slippage, and provides instant boost. I do run a water injection kit, which has a mix of 75% Distilled water, and 25% Isopropyl Alcohol. The water injection does not add horsepower, and is there simply to control detonation due to the high boost. The motor is making well over 1,000 HP, and we are giving up 22% thru the converter to the track. We cannot lock the converter, as will blow up the transmission (we have done it on the dyno). The front tires are as skinnies, as I combined two front Z06 wheels together to create a 4" wide wheel with a 205/17" tire. The rear has been tubbed to run the Hoosier 28" X 14.50" X 16" DOT's. The rear suspension control arms are roller bearings so the car squats smoothly, and keeps that control arms from running thru the chassis. I have designed an adjustable boost dump valve that dumps 6 lbs of boost, and slows the car to 10.50's for club clash. To crank the car into the 9's, I close the dump valve. The car DOES NOT have a Trans Brake, the car DOES NOT have electronics, and the car ABSOLUTLY DOES NOT have NOS.
Rich drives the car to and from the track, to prove that a TRUE STREET CAR can be a crusier and run 9's at the strip all day long.
Go check out the videos I have of this awesome machine!! I have several of them so go check them out...

2007 Bandimere Season....
Nov 30, 2007 | Views: 142
I took 3rd place overall for the season in my Quaker State E.T. Series - Street Sport Compact with a total of 2122 points and about 100 cars/racers. I also took 8th for the Five-R Fall - Trophy with 1014 points out of about 60 cars/racers. And also did well in my Club Clash class out of 200 cars/racers and my team took 2nd place over all for 2007. All In All I brought home 10 trophies and 1 track record plaque! I also joined the perfect light club this year with several perfect lights! As well as an article in the Bandimere paper and an honerable mention. I would say for my first season... my rookie season... i did well and am only going to get better from here! I do have pics up of all trophies on my profile as well as some videos in my video section.. so go enjoy!
Thanks a bunch guys!!
PS.. watch for me next season as I am in talks with someone to race their vega in the King street class!!!
