Yeah I had put off installing them for about a week. The armrests in our 1948 Chevy Truck (The Double Deuce) were the only things left on the inside that were really bad.

We went to Harbor Freight today. We took Peewee and Shorty with us (they love Harbor Freight) and they had a great time. It took a long while to check out as we bought items on sale and had printed coupons with us. A few coupons were expired but they took them anyway.
One of the neat things is an inverter 12 volt DC to 120 volt AC. Got it for $8.49 I think. Lots of other little items.
We had an appointment with our attorney today and he told us about a house for sale that we are going to look at in the morning.
That's it for today. Going to kick back for a while.

Well our 1948 Chevrolet Truck model 3100 (The Double Deuce) did not win anything at the car show. No matter the show was lots of fun and Mary and I had a wonderful day! Oh, the car hop tray was a big hit, as was the easel with the information sign on it!
Tomorrow we are going to Harbor Freight (my favorite store) and I have many things marked in their flier and I have printed a few online coupons. Our dogs (Peewee and Shorty) will get to come along and they just love the trip.

We attended the Hustlers Car Show at the Wurstfest in Boulder City today. It was a fun show and a lot of the proceeds go to providing a Senior Graduation Party (all night) where prizes are given out all night long with the grand prize being a car. Our senior class attendance is over 97%.

Back around Sept 5,08 a Motortopia member (Blasterhappy) posted a question in the new members blog about a car part. It was called the Miss-Lou Motor Mafia September Contest. Any way to make a long story short, I answered the question and won my choice of several prizes. I chose 12 out of production Hot Wheel cars. I got them in the mail today.

New head liner in the Double Deuce today. Mary did not like the head liner in our 48 truck so I put a new one in today. For what it is worth I would have preferred to do four sets of seat covers instead (I hate doing headliners) anyway the job is done except for running a piece of trim down the center. It was hard to relocate the holes for the sun visors.

It is 3:33 in the morning here in Nevada. I got up about three since I was awake anyway. I have a UPS package that I have been tracking (it got to Vegas yesterday) and I'm really looking forward to receiving it. (its the kid in me, something new and all that) When the package arrives it has new armrests for our truck and some new headliner parts (Mary does not like the headliner so I will put a new one in).

The UPS driver dropped this off just a few minutes ago. Mary had seen one at several car shows and liked them so I quietly ordered her one off Ebay and it just arrived. Mary really likes it. It came with the tray, red plastic cover, mustard bottle, ketchup bottle, salt and pepper shakers, bottle of CocaCola classic, plastic covered menu, menu holder, straw, napkin, french frys, tray to hold fries, and a cheese burger.
I think it will look good on any of our rides at a show.

We sold the "Dam Truck" this morning. The buyer was a very nice guy from Henderson NV. it seems he is planning to fix it up and drive it. No biggie but it was kind of nice to see it going to someone that appreciates what it could easily be.

We are really enjoying our 1948 Chevy Truck "The Double Deuce" and have ordered some new items for it. I will say more when I can include some photos.

A few things that help. I need a photo large enough to crop and still be seen. You can have as many cars in your garage as you want, but only have each ride listed once so that people know when they have found the correct ride. There needs to be some recent activity in your garage (just updating a ride or adding a photo for example). Your ride needs to be in the data base correctly so it will show up when searched for (help is available if you need it).
