This is my latest project that I don't have ca$h to do much with, but it is awesome. Basically a mint 1955 Willys CJ5A with a V-8 Chevy small block in it. I am going to swap out the 525 gears with something more streetable so I can drive over 40mph on the highway. Until I get some cash I am just going to murder it flat black, get it running. -Nothing to do with cars, except houses have garages for cars...

-Anyway, lending rates dropped again yesterday and my mortgage tycoon nab hounded me once more. I have less than fantastic credit and was still able to lock in and refi the house on a 30-year fixed at 5%!!! Down from 6.65% which wasn't bad, but over a point and a half warrants a killer savings, well worth the closing costs!!!

If anyone is thinking about doing a refi / "personal bailout" I can't reccomend it enough, get on it ASAP!

I really need to stay off Cracklist, er' I mean Craigslist.... Turns out a guy here in Bend had a NICE 6" lift for sale. I call him up and we talked a while. He started with the 4" lift, then got the 6" and ran that on his truck for 3 years, then got an 8". .. Told me he wished he would have just gone from zero to 8"... -Beyond the 6" threshold, you have to lower the transfer case and do a bunch of other mods. I really just need 6" to clear the 37" tires and I am golden I decided. Bought the 6" springs for the front from him and am buying the rear set new. Posted the 4" lift for sale on Cracklist...

Starts out with killer deal on a set of rims from a guy at work for cheap... -Couldn't pass it up. They sell for hundreds more new... -Sound familiar??? Anyway, couldn't find any used 18" tires to go with the used 18" rims... Until I scored the 37" TOYO MT's for $75 on Craigslist. Horse traded the rims I didn't need for a 4" suspension lift that just happens to fit my 72' Blazer. Not sure if the steering knuckle will work once I put the front springs on. May have to go to the extended type knuckle... Definitely have to swap out and roll the new 4" extended Superlift Nitro 8000 shocks. No way in Heck are the 37" tires gonna go on without lifting that front end... May even have to do a body lift, but hope not!!!

Shocks came in Friday, got the springs. Now all I need is a few hours and a nice big floor jack, some stands and I'll have Blazemo' rolling on 37's with a 4" lift. (Yeah right!!!) My projects never go that smooth, but I keep on keepin' on anyway and eventually I will get er' done!!!
