Sat. Morning. Need to work on Helen but I have book work to do. After lunch I went to the shop. I took some photos of the engine before tear down. I was able to pull intake and heads off. I left the engine in the frame for now. Took about 3 hours. I did it all by hand tools. Don't have 240 to new compressor yet.
The exhaust pipes were cut off just below the torsion bars so I pulled the heads with the exhaust manifolds left on heads.
Valve train looks in good shape. Looks like only 2 cylinders had water in them.
Next step is pulling engine and pull the bottom end appart.
I was told that if I put the block in a drum of diesel fuel this would probably free up the engine.
I am open for suggestions on this matter and would appreciate any info.
Thanks

We moved my shorten 57 New Yorker frame over from the warehouse. Going to pull the engine apart. It is stuck and I want to see how bad it is, When I parted out this NY I kept the engine 392 Hemi and the beautiful dash. Going to use this dash in Helen

We moved the shorten 57 New Yorker frame with the 392 Hemi I am going to rebuild to install in Helen. I also kept the complete beautiful dash assembly out of the NY. I am going to fab it into Helen.
Anyway today I pulled the manifolds and heads off the 392. The engine is stuck but it doesn't look to bad. I think only 2 cyl are the problem. Valve train looks great.
I think I am going to put the block in a drum of diesel fuel to see if this will free it up.
If anyone has any suggestions I am open for help here.
I left the engine mounted in the frame for the time being. Next stem I will work at getting it out of the frame and pull the bottom off. Hope everything is good.

I purchased wheel skates, a 6 ton jack stands, a 2000 lb engine stand for my 392 Hemi (it is very heavy, 765 lbs dry). I purchased a 2.5 ton hoist. It took most of the day to put all this together
I purchased wheel skates and put her up on all four corners. Even though she is a full size car I can move her around myself
I am ready to work
