We're full swing into the season, only a few races left (3 in Kearney and 1 in Topeka) and we've finally put together a winning car. Well... we've got the possibility if the driver could pull her head out of her ass! Haha. After taking the engine out and putting it back in about 3 times this season, blowing it up once, suffering from failing components (anything from the gas pump to the shift chip), our car runs great. Now it's up to me and the reaction times! Our best ET this year was 2 weeks ago at Kearney, 8.28 at 160.18 MPH, on a pretty humid, crappy day. We're hoping to reach the 7-second mark at our division finals in Topeka in 2 weeks!

Spent the weekend camping, drinking beer, and rocking out to Poison, Cinderella, Ted Nugent, Styx, etc... at Comstock Rock this weekend, but I also raced on Sunday in Kearney, which was convienent because Comstock is a short drive from Kearney. Kearney hosted its cruise night and car show on Saturday, so Sunday morning at the races brought in a larger crowd of spectators, which was fabulous. I love seeing more fans at the races, especially supportive, great fans like these! Everytime I drove through the return lane, I caught many people waving, cheering, and giving me the thumbs-up... maybe that's because I kept winning! ha ha. I lost in the semi-final, as one of the 4 cars left in the Super Pro class. I hit a perfect reaction time (0.000) earlier in the day, and had some great consistant times from the car (8.69 seconds in the 1/4 mile), so it was a good day! I was also interviewed for one of Kearney's TV news stations while at the track, which was the second time in 2 weeks. I love being at the track, and interacting with the fans and the other racers. Any day at the track is a great day!
