Challenges - Waste of Time or ?

Hello all...
I am concerned about some of the groups on this site making challenges a total waste of time. Their members select cars to challenge and then all of the members of the club are instructed to vote for the club member's car, even if the car that's been challenged is far superior to some of their rust buckets. This is not why this site was setup. I, along with many others, shouldn't have to tolerate this type of behavior.
I would be interested in hearing from everyone else on this subject...

- I totally agree they are a waste of time...they are all fixed and a lot of beggers..Don't email me for a vote I tell people. I won't vote at all.

- As a car site I find this site great as compaired to my local State car club site, no compairison. As for the challenges, I try not to get involved for the reasons everyone else left here. It can be a bad marking thing.

- Soupy's friend I think they are all trashed out challanges rigged you have no idea how many I get from orange and a few vote for me vote for me. I did it one time ...one too many. BIG MISTAKE!

I just accepted a challenge from a guy who's a group moderator and I'm getting smoked by everyone in his group...seems like some folks just need to win more than others
I love this site and will continue to do so, I just won't do the challenge thing anymore.

TexasDon your right! Motortopia at one time had a tab at the top of the Challenges main page that stated the rules for Challenges. In those rules they said to get your buddies or members of your car club to help you out on a challenge. That to me is encouraging group voting. It's funny that it's gone now, and that they deny they said it.
BigDog, I'm with you. just took my cars out of the challenges. I do try to help innocent (read non-affiliated) "one" time victims of the group voters out there. I figure it takes one challenge to learn not to accept challeges.

- Well, yes they are a pain in the butt. All the phony memberships that show up when someone is losing big. They cause just about all the hate and discontent that happens on this site. Challenging another photograph is what it really is. All sites that have challenges are the same in that area, it simply does not work. People even add cars they do not have to create challenges. This is such a cool site but the challenges are a pain in the ass.
