Challenges - Waste of Time or ?

Hello all...
I am concerned about some of the groups on this site making challenges a total waste of time. Their members select cars to challenge and then all of the members of the club are instructed to vote for the club member's car, even if the car that's been challenged is far superior to some of their rust buckets. This is not why this site was setup. I, along with many others, shouldn't have to tolerate this type of behavior.
I would be interested in hearing from everyone else on this subject...

- I don't understand the whole deal with challenges, when I first signed up on motortopia I remember a check box about whether or not I would want my car "challenged" I thought to myself that's stupid, that sounds like a bunch of kids saying I think my car is better than yours and I'll get my friends to agree with me.
My thoughts have only been confirmed by all the trouble it causes.I think we are all car guys (and gals) and we should stick together. I enjoy seeing all types of rides and if I don't like your taste in cars someone else out there will. I will comment on albums and garages that I like. I think that's what makes this site great !

- I totally agree they are a waste of time...they are all fixed and a lot of beggers..Don't email me for a vote I tell people. I won't vote at all.

- As a car site I find this site great as compaired to my local State car club site, no compairison. As for the challenges, I try not to get involved for the reasons everyone else left here. It can be a bad marking thing.

- Soupy's friend I think they are all trashed out challanges rigged you have no idea how many I get from orange and a few vote for me vote for me. I did it one time ...one too many. BIG MISTAKE!

I just accepted a challenge from a guy who's a group moderator and I'm getting smoked by everyone in his group...seems like some folks just need to win more than others
I love this site and will continue to do so, I just won't do the challenge thing anymore.
