How'd Ya Get That Handle, Frog? Need a Chuckle? Read this!

Got a healthy chuckle yesterday when a Motortopia friend shared the story about her handle with us.
The more friends we have on Motortopia, the more we find ourselves talking around here with each other in weird names, in Motortopia-speak. We talk about people with their handles which represent cars - 99_corvette, or jobs - amarillo_banker; or hobbies - guitarman.
But, yesterday, one of our friends shared the story of how she got her handle - FROG. Take some time to watch the video of how FROG got her handle, and then head on over to FROG's GARAGE and leave her a note.

- Nickname in high school was Joe Cool. I was the first person in the county to get N2O on my car and hence the name Nitro Joe. I thought that Nitr0j0e just looked a little cooler.

- I got mine because a front engine dragster is also known as a slingshot, and my engine of choice was a Chrysler 383 Wedge. My digger even had the cartoon characters Tom and Jerry with a big slingshot.

- I got my name from my return address on my electric bill. It's not much but it's mine. Carolina (live in Carolina) and 29053 (zip code). The underscore was thrown in there for effect.

- I got my name because I am an animal lover. I have six cats. Also feed all the neighborhood strays as well as the birds, squirrels, possums and racoons. Also, all my cars bear Texas animal friendly personalized plates that benefit animal charities. Since I love Firebirds, Bird Lover was a play on my love of animals and cars. I am truly a Bird Lover as my flock has grown over the years from one to four of them!

- My nickname was given to me by platoon when I was in the ARMY and stationed in Panama. I had this goal of wanting to shot anything that launched a bullet or missile and I did just that. While in the military I shot everything from a basic M16 to a Armor piercing SABO round out of a M1A1 Tank to shoulder fired missiles. Somehow it carried over into my hot rodding. Go Figure! HAHA!
