Question of the Day: What's your favorite TV car?
May 16, 2008 | Views: 437
Yesterday we focused on the big screen, today we'll turn our attention to the small screen.
Lots of television shows have featured or starred cars, and we have some great ones to choose from. If you look back into the 60s, you've got cars like the Batmobile, the Corvettes from Route 66, the Monkees' GTO, the Green Hornet's Black Beauty... jump into the 70s and you'll remember Starsky & Hutch's Ford Torino, Dan Tanna's '57 T-bird from Vega$, Jim Rockford's Pontiac Firebird... head into the 80s and we got Magnum P.I.'s Ferrari 308, the A-Team's GMC van, the Coyote from Hardcastle & McCormick, and of course the General Lee and KITT... the 90s brought us Dylan McKay's Porsche 356 Speedster, Nash Bridges' 'Cuda, the Viper from Viper... and now in the 2000s, we have a new KITT, and... umm... well, I can't really think of many more from this decade... unless you count all the really cool cars Chip Foose builds on Overhaulin'.
So let us know in the comments, what's your favorite car from tv?

- Boy does that take me down Memory lane, From the Monkee GTO, to Batman's Batmobile, and other great rides, thanks to George Barris, King of Kustoms. But I have to say my favorite was "Black Beauty". Watching The Green Hornet and Kato aka Bruce Lee fighting the bad guys and even a two episode with Batman, (My Fav).. I can just here the theme to The Green Hornet as I type.. I just wonder why no one has ever done a newer updated version of the Green Hornet, get Jackie Chan or Jet Li to play Kato..

- Morse's classic red Jaguar Saloon in the "Inspector Morse" series. I damn near cried when it was crunched in a fender-bender in one episode.

- I liked the Coyote on Hardcastle and McCormack. Kit car with lots of speed and agility.

- So many to choose from, but it'll have to be KITT. Had lots of cool gadgets and a wicked sense of humor, with the sarcastic voice.

- One my my earliest childhood memories was chitty-chitty-bang-bang, but that's not really TV. As a favorite, I'll have to go with the Ferrari 308 GTS from magnum. It is still a fine looking automobile.

- @JerryandMary: I think it was just called the Munster Koach. And there was also the Drag-u-la that Grampa Munster built.

- Don't know what they called the car on the Munsters but I kind of liked it. It turned head, made noise, and looked very cool.
