It didn't take long. A few minutes.
At the end of the burst of machine guns, Bonnie and Clyde were dead, their lives snuffed out in a hail of armor piercing bullets.
Today in history, May 23,1934; in a 1934 Ford, Bonnie and Clyde met their maker.
There are lots of interesting sites about this, but an interesting fact I learned is that Bonnie and Clyde were tracked down with the help of the FBI, because of the National Motor Vehicle Act; so their federal law violation was the transportation of stolen cars and not many banks they robbed and people they killed. An interesting side note to a notorious story.
You can read more here, or get the movie, too.

- Hi David
Mary and I have seen the Bonnie and Clyde car several times (mostly at Whiskey Pete's in Prim NV.) I still find it eerily interesting.
I am as bad as anyone else about glorifying our bad guys by watching movies etc. (like Butch and Sundance) Mary lives a life of no gray areas and simply says they were bad people, that took from good people, and why make a movie about it. Mary sees most issues as black and white with no gray areas and I think it is a plus for her.
I will continue to like Butch and Sundance and I prefer to think of the James boys as heroes.
Jerry
