Man, you think it is bad to fill your tank here in the US, just be glad you aren't in the UK right now! Due to a strike by Shell tanker drivers, the supply of fuel in the UK is drying up. As a result, over 380 gas stations are either short on gas, or completely out.
Those that have gas remaining have jacked prices up to £1.99 per liter, which works out to about $18 per gallon. Gas station owners say the prices will return to normal as soon as they start receiving fuel deliveries again.
Too bad you can't just bottle up some fuel and sell it on ebay, you'd make a killing!

And convictions!
The federal Competition Bureau says it is investigating gas price fixing in other provinces in the wake of criminal charges and CONVICTIONS in Quebec.
The bureau announced at a news conference in Montreal that criminal charges have been laid against 13 people and 11 companies for allegedly fixing gasoline prices in four Quebec markets.
Three companies and one individual PLEADED GUILTY to the charges today in Quebec Superior Court in Victoriaville. The companies were fined a total of $2 million, and the individual $50,000.00.

- Here in Hawaii gas prices have ALWAYS ben high. A couple of years ago the state sued the gas manufactures for price gouging, after the law suit, prices started going up all over the country. Hmmmmm, I wonder if theres a connection there................

- OH MY FRIEKEN GOD!!! i really truly feel sorry for them. kinda makes me feel small whining about 4 dollars a gallon here...
