Buy an Alfa Romeo from your local MINI dealer
Jul 8, 2008 | Views: 58
On May 4, 2006, I read the news that Alfa Romeo was planning a return to the U.S. market. And since that announcement, I've been patiently waiting for the Brera, the 8C Competizione, and most recently, the Mi.To to arrive on our shores. That is scheduled to happen in late 2010.
And today, there is more news: Fiat (Alfa Romeo's parent company) and BMW are (tentatively) teaming up to develop a new front-wheel-drive small car platform that will be used for the next MINI and future Fiats and Alfa Romeos, and, even better, MINI dealers may sell Alfa Romeos here in the U.S.
This actually makes a lot of sense. MINI has been a huge success, thanks in part to innovative marketing and the whole MINI dealership and lifestyle experience. Alfa seems like a perfect candidate to benefit from the MINI magic too.
It is starting to look like Alfa is going to have a real good chance of being successful this time around, and I can't wait!

- I'd really like to see Alfa's around again, The Brera is a neat looking ride but they will probablty price them out of most peoples range to afford.
I really liked my Black 3.0 Alfa Romeo 164S, Even though it was kind of a Box that resembled a VW Passat or a Rolling Casket Volvo shape.
It still turned quite a few heads! Wish I still had it!
