Question of the Day: What do you think of GM's future models?
Jul 18, 2008 | Views: 105
On Tuesday, GM announced a restructuring to help them avoid bankruptcy. Amongst the boring stuff like cutting jobs, selling assets, health care changes, blah blah, they also talked about products.
First, Bob Lutz said that the Beat won't be coming to the U.S. (contrary to last week's rumor.) Then, they showed some previews up some new upcoming models.
Some of those pictures, although not the best quality, have been leaked onto the web. Among those vehicles shown are: the Chevrolet Cruze, which will replace the Cobalt; the Cadillac CTS Sportwagon; the Cadillac SRX crossover; the Saab 9-4X crossover; the Chevy Equinox crossover; and an unnamed Buick sedan.
Check out the pictures in the photo gallery, then come back here and let us know what you think of these new models. Is the General moving in the right direction, or are they just screwed? Comment!

- Truthfully they don't look like anything special or exciting than what the manufacturers are already making now.
But they have had some great Concepts that would be sweet if made today! No not the Volt either!

- If the Cruze makes it to market looking like that photo, GM gets my vote for "style".
But what about what's under the skin?
If quality, performance, and gas mileage are included with the "zoomy" body style, and at a competitive price, I think they have a hit!

- I forgot to mention: rumor has it the Cruze will be powered by a turbocharged 1.4 liter 4-cylinder that will get 40 to 45 miles per gallon on the highway... that puts it close to what the hybrid Prius gets on the highway...

- i really like them all. i think GM has done a great job with it's new models. i think they should do pretty well with the cruze if the price is right. people don't seem to realize how far the american car companys have come in the past ten years. the only companys that have made any fun or different car in the past years have ford chevy and dodge. but then you might find the camry or the accord "fun and different".
