Traffic Barrel Monster Creator Arrested
NC State student Joseph Carnevale, the artist behind the Traffic Barrel Monster, has been arrested for stealing the barrels and "cutting and screwing them together to make a statue," which apparently is a misdemeanor in North Carolina.
Carnevale goes by the name "uliveuburn" and has been a fixture in the Raleigh-area street art scene for a while, notable for his creation of the Boylan Bridge Angry Man. Given the similar theme and creativity it didn't take the local police long to decide the 21-year-old is to blame. The total cost of the damage has been estimated at $360 and a court case is scheduled for July 21st.

- This sounds petty & mean, when real criminals are getting away with all kinds of stuff. This kid has talent and he wasn't doing any harm to anyone.

- That is stupid....What kind of law enforcement arrests a kid for making a statue.....I think that if anything he should be let go and the state should hire him to do more stuff like that...But use his work to send out a message....Like you know.....BUCKLE YOUR SEATBELF OR THE TRAFFIC BARREL MONSTER IS GOING TO BE SEEING YOU....Some thing along the lines of that......That is crazy.....I give him a 5 stars for that awesome work of art!

- reckon theres no crime in the raleigh durham area.......BS. i lived there that place is a cesspool for crime and their spending all their time arresting and throwing this kid in front of a judge for something stupid? go figure eh?
