How to Test a Marriage
Jul 2, 2009 | Views: 189
So picture this: you and your wife hop into your 9-month-old Hyundai Genesis Sedan and drive to the Chevy dealer to pick up your brand new Corvette Z06.
After signing all the paperwork, you jump into your new Vette with a smile on your face, and leave the dealership for the drive home. Your wife is following you in the Hyundai.
It is raining, but you don't mind because you are enjoying your new car. Up ahead, traffic slows from 60 to 30 mph. You apply your brakes, and the next thing you know, your wife rear-ends your new Vette, sending you crashing into the car in front of you.
Unfortunately, this scenario was real for a couple earlier this month. What is interesting is the estimated cost to repair the Hyundai is higher than repairing the $80,000 Vette, despite the Vette getting hit at both ends. The current estimate for the Hyundai is $16,000 while the Vette is at $10,000.
