Desert Car show

Just got back from a great car show in the desert. I believe this is the ninth year of the event. It's called the Dr. George Benefit Car Show. Proceeds go to the Desert Cancer Foundation. Great reason to be involved at a car show.
It was in Indian Wells, Calif. This is just outside of Palm Springs if your looking on a map.
We had 7 cars from our club make the trip. From my house round trip was about 245 miles. What a great drive it was. Driving in to the sun up was awesome. see pics.
About 800 cars were there and there was every kind of vehicle you could imagine.
If you don't know about Palm Springs, it's the desert area here in California where the rich and famous retire. Oh yeah, did I mention that there are over 225 golf courses in the near vicinity?
Awesome show, awesome group who put the show on, the Palm Springs Cruisin' Association. Kudos to them!
Hope you enjoy the pics.

Well, this is the only time of year I ever ask anyone to help out with a donation of any kind.
With your help last year "Team Karen"" was the top donating team with donations totaling over $11.000 dollars. Out of 55 teams competing. Thank you for making helping take first place.
This year our family will try to top that figure with your help.
My cousin Karen, since her surgery, a brain tumor removed, is doing absolutely wonderful. She has had a couple of seizures since the surgery, but with the help of the medical 'cocktails' they have subsided and she is running around like a nineteen year old, she is 62. Due to the fact that she can't drive for some time, my wife Judi has been staying with her off and on to help with the driving and daily chores.
Thank you to everyone who helped make that possible.
If you can find it in your heart and wallet please sign up and donate for this year. Every dollar helps. If you can't I understand.
Please go to www.SoCalWalk.org and click on 'Team Karen' , look for "Join Neil's Team", click and donate.
Thanking you in advance for all of your participation.
Regards,
President: Street Rods Unlimited, So.Cal.
