- My favorite driver will always be the late great Dale Earnhardt as well as the late Tim Richmond.
They had some great fun and exciting battles on the track and were good friends off the track as well.
Tim Richmond had style and class and character all his own. Most drivers today are pretty Ho-Hum...
I have been collecting DieCast cars for a good part of my life.I love collecting cars!
My favorite NASCAR Diecast would be, Dale Earnhardts Black & Silver #3 GM Goodwrench1988 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe,Even though there was no actual production version of the Aerocoupe in 1988.
My favorite Paint schemes were his Peter Max water colors paint scheme,That was wild specially for The Man!
Other paint schemes I enjoyed
Bill Elliot's Thunderbat
Darrell Waltrips Tide Ride
Jeremy Mayfields Lime Green Mountain Dew
Dale Earnhardt Jr's Elvis 30th Anniversary.
As for the Monte SS or Impala SS C.O.T.
I would always pick the Monte Carlo SS
I don't care for the funny looking front end and Splitter on the C.O.T car But the rear wing doesn't bother me as they are similar to what the Australians have in there V8 Supercars series. I think the spoiler on the COT car needs to be higher so the drivers can see out the back better. I am not a fan of 4 door cars in NASCAR or as a Muscle car.I don't care if it has a Hemi or a Rat motor in it, 4 doors are for Taxi's
But sadly, I don't think the Monte Carlo is coming back anytime soon.
Rumors were of a Chevelle possibly but haven't heard or read any new news on that either.
I don't think GM even knows what they want.
The worst track I have been to watch a race so far has been Pocono.It's so big the cars are to far away to really see them and when they go by the front stretch,You don't see them go by ,Just hear them.It's also my least favorite to watch on tv.
My favorite is Talladega for a Superspeedway and Bristol for a short track.
I don't like Road Courses in the Sprint Cup series.
Bring Back the Monte Carlo Chevrolet!
