After sitting in a barn for the past 19 years I thought I'd give it a try this morning so the fluids got changed and the engine primed. A fresh battery and a turn of the key, she fired right up. Oil pressure and enigne temp was perfect and the motor runs smooth and sounds great. What a shame to park this car for so long because of a simple fix like a pin hole in the fuel tank. The next step is to go through the chassis (steering, brakes, ect.) and the fuel system. Should have it in a drivable state within the next month or so!

It is amazing that stuff like that happens. A good friend of mine just bought a 76 50th Anniv Pontiac Trans Am. 1 of 114. It was put up 18yrs ago, because the oil pressure dropped on the gauge. HMMMM, well 18 yrs later it runs but suffered the sitting up part of the last 2 centuries. But it does run and is easily fixable. Good luck with you project.

What a great start to your summer. Happy to hear yet another fine Mopar has found a new beginning in your hands.

Good to hear it runs. I would definitely change the fuel tank and lines if they show any rust. otherwise you will not enjoy the stop n go issues that are caused by rusty fuel tanks.
