I almost got a 350 and 4L60E transmission to put in this truck today! "Big Bertha" almost got wiped out by a dumb driver on my way to work thismorning. This jerk in a new Chevy pick up decided he didn't have to stop at either of the stop signs crossing the highway and median. As if that weren't enough, he wanted the lane I was is! Being observant and reacting quick, I missed him by inches! I went to work and told my boss about my close call. After work we were talking about it. Then we started talking about fixing this S-10 for my step daughter. I think I'm going to piece one together from the one I took out, the old parts left from the failed rebuild attempt for the van transmission and the failed rebuilt trans itself. I'm sure I'd be able to make something work. Wouldn't have to be perfect, just functional. I think after the Holidays are done, I'll start in on this project.
