By mikesredmontez34

my engine light stays on, and then it will flash and then goes out but comes back on, also the sensor above this light flashes some times but not always, it looks like an arrow pointing down into what looks like water the sensor is red. ive checked all fluid level and had it into a shop for a tune up and a look see but the mechanic could not find anything wrong. any help would be appreciated.

Usually When This Happens It's About Electricity Specially In Chevy's. Check All Sensors Before Doing Changes That Prob. Takes Care Of That...

Could the seal on your gas cap be bad? I think it is a vacuum system? Check your small vacuum lines, if one is split it is just enough to turn the light on. If you find anything wrong after it is fixed you might disconnect a battery terminal for about 15 minutes and let the capacitor drain down so the light will stay off. That is all I can think of just now.
