Doing Some Research And Remembering

By Crazyfast79TA

I worked on the engine swap in my S-10 after work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I didn't go out to the garage Thursday. I spent my time looking at the pictures from my '87 S-10 and looking up parts and tools instead. I found some motor mounts that I liked but figured I could fab some up almost like them for less money. Tonight I spent my evening sorting out wires and such to figure out what went where and what wouldn't be hooked up and the things that needed hooked up, how they would hook up to a Holley carb equipped 350. Still thinking on that, but the "nuts and bolts" end of it is pretty much figured out. This is gonna be sweet!

When I built my '87, there wasn't a lot of forethought. There was no kit involved. I just did it! It wasn't right the first time, but it eventually got there without a kit! This one is copying from a kit, maybe with headers that are manufactured (not hand made) for it.

I sometimes am not sure what I enjoy more. Planning and building a ride or actually driving it. I know that sounds crazy since being behind the wheel is sooo cool and fun. But I get a lot of satisfaction from designing and putting together something the way I want it to be.
