Going To Make Big Blue Road-Ready

It's about time I do something to get this truck back on the road. Snowy weather is upon us! The van can handle the little bit of snow we've gotten so far, but when the real stuff comes I don't want to get caught with my pants down! I'm not sure what it's going to take to get it going again. First thing I had to deal with was a dead battery. It's not even 2 years old yet. I still can't believe the battery in the Trans Am took a charge and didn't let me down. This one might. I got it at L&M Fleet Supply Store. I thought that would be better than Wal-Mart. Evidently it's not as good as Advance Auto. The next thing I know I have to do is check the brake system. Last time I moved it something popped and the pedal dropped. Your guess is as good as mine right now. That shouldn't be too hard to figure out once I get it up on the driveway. Then I know I have to change the idler arm. The truck wandered all over the road last time I drove it. After that I'll have to check out the rear-end and transfer case. It makes a weird noise when you put in reverse sometimes and acts like it goes into neutral. I'll get it figured out. Then it's just the normal check-over; lights, fluids, tires, wiper blades and so on. Then I have to get the tags renewed and switch the insurance over from the van. I know one thing I'm NOT going to do, I'm not putting one of those loud exhaust systems on it! I think that just makes a truck sound bad. I low rumble is one thing, but a thunderous roar that shakes your teeth out is ridiculous! Say what you will about that, it's just my opinion.
