Does anyone know how to remove or bypass the governor in an 05 impala? If so please let me know asap.

i am an ASE certified tech and i am also a NEW member you will have to go with a performance programer the best one that i reccamend is the diablo preditor find out more @ diablosport.com looking forward to talking to you guys more and getting to know everyone

this car uses flash programing. there are company out there that make plug in programers for the w-body cars. the only way to remove the limiter (115 mph i think on the 3.4) is to reprogram the computer.

Hi
I think what you refer to as a governor is actually an information chip, or a "computer chip". After market performance chips are available for almost all cars. Use discretion where these chips are concerned as to safety, warranty, insurance etc.
