It is that time of year again when we celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, the Christ. And this year it is at least close to Passover, which was the reason that Easter happened when it did.
I have never understood why those two holidays, historically intertwined as they are, drift apart on the calendar. I suspect that the fault must lie somehow with the people who established the observance of Easter, as the Passover is pretty rigidly defined in the Jewish calendar. But that is a debate for another place and time.
Happy Easter everyone, and to those who recently celebrated the Passover, Happy belated Passover to you.
