Just writing to say 1997 Pontiac Firebird that's been through hell and back and I'm sticking behind him and building him back up to a nice Firebird.

Jegs sells a nice one-piece aluminum driveshaft for that Firebird that replaces the heavy steel two-piece stocker. It's lighter and eliminates the middle u-joint and carrier bearing. Just an idea. I think they cost about $400.00.
