Sema Show, Pasadena, June, Chip Foose
Aug 17, 2010 | Views: 895
As some of you know by reading my last post, I attended the Sema Show and Shine in Pasadena, CA in June.
Attending the show as a participant was Chip Foose. I dont think any introduction is needed there. Anyhow, I have attached a photo of Chip cleaning his own car. He didnt ask for help from anyone. He just dug in and started cleaning.
I was very impressed at how down to earth he is. I spoke to him. He is a very nice guy and I am sure every person reading this post is in awe of his creations.
The only question I had when I left there was "Where is the powerball?"
Enjoy.

- That's really cool. It's really nice to know that there are still down to earth celebrities out there

- that is nice. So many stars have their entourage to do stuff for them. It shows he is down to earth and not afraid to get his hands dirty.

- The closest I got to meeting Mr. Foose was when three of his creations were on display at a car show I was in and he had too many places to be at the same time and couldn't make it. He comes across as the regular guy you describe. And his genuine humble personality really came out on the show they did when they unveiled his very own old pickup truck his dad taught him to drive in. Which the crew did an OVERHAUL on Chip himself. And if my memory serves me right they did it at a SEMA display. That was cool.

- Wish I could meet him, NEVER will. I cannot afford to attend the kind of events he shows up at, much like I will NEVER get the opportunity to talk to the likes of Jay Leno, as he too travels in a much higher income bracket show circuit, than the little local stuff I can barely manage to afford.

- Chip is the Man when it comes to building classic cars

- Watching his show, it's easy to tell he has his act together; both as a builder and a human being.
