FINALLY! I've had to look at tis pile for 5 years now! First is took up space in the garage. Then Michelle's oldest son, Dustyn took it to his high school auto shop to finish the upper end rebuild. Too bad his helper in the class was stronger than smart. When they were installing the heater hose fitting instead of using teflon tape or some other thread sealant, he just ape armed the thing in, cracking the intake. Dustyn drove the car home and parked it beside the garage. When Bradee, Michelle's other son, got his license, he wanted to drive it. Dustyn agreed to replace the lower intake manifold if Bradee bought the parts. He got the intake replaced but had a problem with the injectors not seating right and an O ring in the fuel rail tore. The car remained parked beside the garage waiting for repairs. I had no desire to fix it since I wasn't involved with the foul up. Michelle found a buyer for it if we could get it running. Terry agreed to help get it going. We fought with the firing order, gassed out plugs and a tank full of old gas. After we took care of all that, the injectors still weren't seated right. We fixed that and then the upper intake filled up with fuel. We tore it back apart and discovered the intake valves weren't opening. He tightened down the valves and we put it all back together, It still wouldn't start. We gave up on it Sunday. It was raining Monday and today. That didn't stop Terry from working on it today while I was at work. He found a wire connection that we missed in the dark Sunday and plugged it in. The car fired up! He took it down off the jack-stands, aired up the tires and was ready to take it home. Michelle signed over the title and it was a done deal! GONE!
