Me and my wife are going to Gatlinburgh in August in the Solstice. Should be a lot of fun in that little car in the mountains with the top down. While I was searching on the internet of events that were going on in that area I ran across several that dicusssed the Tail of the Dragon at Deals Gap. Its 318 curves in 11 miles. I was wondering if anybody had been there. From the few pictures i can find it looks really cool. What I can find out is about every sport bike and sports car club is holding some kind of rally there thru the whole year. I hope to put a few pictures of it when i get back. see ya

- 2006 we held National MG meet in Gatlinburg. What a mess but that's a different story. Try driving it in a 70 year old MG! Thought my arm would fall off from all the shifting... and that was getting out of the parking lot!
Lots of lks drove the Dragon ,,, said it was fun but hundreds and hundreds of motor cycles bogged it down to a crawl. Best time is after kiddies go back to school and middle of the week.

- Agree with TAMATT79 I have been there for the past 3 years and the fun level has dropped, the law is everywhere and they have placed control devices to slow down motorist.
