I STARTED MAKING MY OWN CUSTOM NASCAR DIECAST WHEN I FOUND OUT HOW MUCH MONEY SOME OF THE OTHER DIECAST BUILDERS WANTED TO MAKE ME A CERTAIN NASCAR DIECAST CAR.I'VE BEEN MAKING CUSTOM NASCAR DIECAST NOW FOR ABOUT 9 MONTHS,THEY DONT ALWAYS COME OUT PERFECT BUT IM VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS ON MOST OF THEM.IF THE ONE'S I START BUILDING DONT COME OUT JUST RIGHT I USUALLY SCRAP EM' AND START OVER,THATS ONLY HAPPENED A FEW TIMES.I ALMOST ALWAYS USE DUPONT PAINT WITH DUPLI COLOR CLEAR,I PUT ABOUT 3 COATS OF PAINT AND 4-5 COATS OF CLEAR FOR A GREAT SHINE AND YEARS OF PROTECTION OF THE DECALS.THE BODY OF THE CAR IS DIECAST,I DONT USE PLASTIC BODY KITS,I'VE HAD TOO MUCH OF A BAD EXPIERENCE WITH THOSE TYPE BODY'S AND THEY CANT HANDLE THE TYPE OF PAINT I USE WHICH IS AUTOMOTIVE PAINT.THANKS FOR LOOKING,ANY AND ALL COMMENTS WELCOMED AND IF YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE IM ALWAYS WILLING TO LEARN MORE TIPS. THANKS! SERG{3fan4ever}

I build in plastic exclusively and use automotive spray touch-up paint on almost everything I build. The secret is to make sure you have a solid base coat of primer as a barrier between the plastic and the "Hot" solvents in the automotive-grade paint. I'll look through your album once tonight's Sprint Cup race at Charlotte is over (They're under caution at the moment... )
