Vin Question

I've been trying to verify the originality of the AMC AMX Javelin that im buying. I cant decode the vin number tho. Is there anybody that can do it for me? Heres the Vin. A3C797P302287

As far as i could research, you might know this. you have a 1973 amx. the p letter denotes the 360 engine with a 4 barrel carburetor!

Here's what I've come up with...
A-AMC (make)
3-1973 (year)
C-3spd/auto/floor (tranny)
7-Javelin (car series)
9-2 dr. hardtop (body series)
7-"Javelin" (body class)
P-360 4v (engine)

This looks like a plain Javelin from the vin. If that second 7 had been an 8 it would mean AMX.

A= AMC
3= 1973
C= 3 speed Automatic on the floor
7= Javelin
9= 2 door hardtop
P= 360 engine
3= Assembly in Kenosha
02287 is the car's ID number
