Why America Fell off the Cliff

WHY AMERICA 'S ECONOMY FELL OFF THE CLIFF

John Smith started the day early
having set his alarm clock
(MADE IN JAPAN ) for 6 am.

While his coffeepot
(MADE IN CHINA )
was perking, he shaved with his
electric razor
(MADE IN HONG KONG )

He put on a
dress shirt
(MADE IN SRI LANKA ),

designer jeans
(MADE IN SINGAPORE )
and
tennis shoes
(MADE IN KOREA)
After cooking his breakfast in his new
electric skillet
(MADE IN INDIA )
he sat down with his
calculator
(MADE IN MEXICO )
to see how much he could spend today. After setting his
watch
(MADE IN TAIWAN )
to the radio
(MADE IN INDIA )
he got in his car
(MADE IN GERMANY )
filled it with GAS
(from Saudi Arabia )
and continued his search
for a good paying AMERICAN JOB.
At the end of yet another discouraging
and fruitless day
checking his
Computer
(made in MALAYSIA ),
John decided to relax for a while.
He put on his sandals
(MADE IN BRAZIL ),
poured himself a glass of
wine
(MADE IN FRANCE )
and turned on his
TV
(MADE IN INDONESIA ),
and then wondered why he can't
find a good paying job
in AMERICA
AND NOW HE'S HOPING HE CAN GET HELP FROM A PRESIDENT MADE IN KENYA

Having been unemployed for over 2 years at one point in my life, I can relate to this true life scenario. Being over 50 years old didn't help either. But, this story sums up the current sad state of America.

Problem is, all this had its beginnings over 40 years ago, and no one cared enough to stop it, they just bought into the corporate excuse that no one wanted to pay what it cost to make things here, and in 2001, the process went foot to the floor under the Bush administration with a wholesale exodus to China, where there are no worker safety protections, no prohibitions against spewing toxins into the air, or the water, nor against dumping them on the ground, where retirement is a bullet in the head, and healthcare is, don't get sick.

If these are the conditions we are willing to work under, than the big multinationals would happily come back to America, no matter what clown is in the Whitehouse.

The electorial college system needs to go away. If we counted the popular vote we would not be in this mess.

We live in a world community. We Americans want more $ to do what others are willing to do for less $. I don't care who lives in the White House, that is not going to change. In my 61 years I have lived in five countries and visited around ten. I don't care what anyone has to say bad about my country, it's still the best place on earth to live. And I'm still proud to be an American. And just for the record my vote helped my state to vote Republican and we lost the election but and American still won. In this country the majority always wins and that's the American way.

Over 100 million people receiving some sort of welfare, 14 million people out of work and we’re sending more and more jobs overseas.

If you have a few minutes check out this link http://www.wa...obamacare-be/ .

On top of all that, we can’t even thank our Commander-In-Chief for his military service… How,,, I repeat how,,, did he get re-elected? I'll get off my soapbox now.
