Work continues on the cars

By QuikZilver

I need to take some pictures of what I have been up to, but by the time I am done, it has been dark out. Anyway, this is what I have been doing:
On the 86 Vette - Did a full tune up, replaced the valve covers with some chrome valve covers and cleaned under the I have the stupid Check Engine light on, so I need to diagnose and replace whatever sensor went out on me.
On the 08 Vette - Installed the Callaway Honker Air Intake. WOW! What a difference!!! Anyone with a C6 should look at this intake. My Vette now wants to break the rear loose when I jump on it from a rolling start. I can't wait to get it to the track and see what improvement it will make there. I also picked up a pair of MT ET Street Radials that I will be mounting on a spare pair of rims for the 08. I still need to take it in to the dealership for some warranty work, but I will do that after the first race of the 2009 season at Palm Beach International Raceway on Feb 14th.
On the 86 Monte Carlo - I am getting ready to rebuild the carb and replace the 80gph fuel pump with a Carter 172gph fuel pump. These two together should solve my fuel issues...then I just need to get the transmission issue straightened out. I am continuing to work on the new hood and trunk lid for the Monte Carlo and am getting close to being able to paint the hood. Hopefully, this week, I'll be able to get most of the work on the Monte done. I would love to be able to bring all 3 of these cars out the the Challenge Series' first race of 2009 on Feb 14th.
